Day 7 of Cruise

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Today is Friday, 15 January 2010 and we are nearly the end of the cruise.  This is a full day at sea and we are heading back to Cape Canaveral.  We will dock at Cape Canaveral early tomorrow morning and the weather forecast is to be over casted and rainy.  Welcome to SUNNY Florida, Right!!!

Since we do not have any more stops, we have a full day of training and information gathering.  This morning that started with Joel Therien of Kiosk.ws speaking about hosting and how to pick a good hosting company.  The next speaker was Tracey Repchuk who crammed about 7 hours of training into 30 minutes.  Needless to say, we were not able to take notes fast enough.  Thanks Tracey for putting your information on the ship’s intranet.  We had many more speakers and broke for lunch at 12:00.  The session resumed at 1:00 P.M. and continued until 5:00 P.M.  The afternoon consisted of getting solutions to overcome obstacles people are having with their business.  The great thing I learned about this group is that everyone is more than helpful to help anyone that needs help.  This is not the typical of off line businesses that are filled with cut throats in any and every business I have been involved within the business arena.  What a refreshing way to do business.

This evening we had a Farewell Cocktail Party prior to our last evening meal.  We also learned the procedures for tomorrow’s debarkation procedures.  Some people may think of this as the end of the journey; however, I look at it as the beginning of my business venture within the internet business arena.  The information I learned on the cruise is priceless and the friendships I made will last for years.  I would like to thank each person that gave me some advice, tips or inspiration and I would like to name each individual but that list would be too long and I do not want to forget anyone.  Having said that, I will just say THANK YOU!!

I will take this opportunity to give a special thanks to Mike Filsaime who made this all possible.  I got to know Mike a little during the cruise and I have to say that he is one of the most gracious, giving and caring individuals I have met in my 64 years of being on Earth.  Therefore, I have saved the best picture for last of my blogs during the 7 day cruise.  The picture is me with Mike Filsaime.  Mike, you are the man—thanks!

Until next year’s cruiseMikeFilsaime & me

Day 6 of Cruise

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Day 6, Thursday 14 January 2010 is here and it started with an early get up!  We had a tour arranged to visit the ruins in Costa Maya, Mexico.  We had a choice of one of two ruins to attend, one smaller but closer to Costa Maya and the other larger but another hour from our ship.  We picked the smaller ruins closer to shore and was one of the first group of people to discover the ruins.  Our group consisted of nine people and we were able to travel in a passenger van instead of a bus, another plus.  We were the second group of visitors which meant we could get some outstanding pictures without someone walking in front of the camera when the shutter opens.  The ruins were smaller than others we have seen before; however, we did enjoy the peaceful tour without the crowds that started to enter as we were leaving.  After the tour and waiting to get into our van, I saw there were eight buses already parked and those people were now entering the ruins.  Perfect timing on our part.

Back at port Diane and I spent time looking at the shops of Costa Maya.  They have the typical tourist shops with the over priced goods.  Since Diane and I both retired from the airlines and are use to the shops in other countries, we just look and do not buy.  After the port shop looking, back to the ship for some food.  After we ate, Diane went top deck of the ship to get some great pictures while I decided to walk within the ship.  During my walk, I saw Mike Hill and spent about 15 minutes talking with him about his new home, the Maverick Group and very little internet marketing conversation.  He did ask me to share some pictures with him when I start my new flying job in New Mexico.

The afternoon consisted of another Master Mind Group Session from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.  The session consisted of people sharing their tips, tactics, tools, software and websites they use to enhance, promote and propel their business.  I was amazed of the number of websites available for an internet marketers to use for their own business.  This session alone was worth more than the investment of the cruise.  If you have never been on a marketers cruise, you owe it to yourself to be on our next cruise next year.   Now is the time to start planning for your cruise with like minded people that have a wealth of knowledge and are willing to share with you what you want and need to have for your business.  The next cruise sails from January 6 to 14, 2011.  Let me know if you want to attend and I will provide the information for you to get happily involved with the Internet Marketers Cruise Family.

Speaking of like minded people, the picture below is me with Hollis Carter.  We met at one of the get togethers and shared some great information on getting happily involved with internet marketing and his kindness of helping people get started.  Thanks Hollis.
Talk with you tomorrow.HollasCarter & me

Day 5 of Cruise

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Today is Wednesday 13 January 2010, and it is day five of the cruise.  Where are we on day five?  Would you believe Belize?  Yep, that’s right, we are in Belize and the sun is out and the temperature is starting to warm slightly.  We hope tomorrow, when we go to our NEXT stop, the temperature will be warm.

My wife, Diane, and I have spent several days in Belize before on our own and we traveled around the country in our rental car.  Since we have been here before, we decided not to do any of the tours and just spend time in town.  We had breakfast on the ship and left for the city on a water taxi.  Once in town, we acted like real tourists and took advantage of a horse and buggy city tour.  The fee was $15.00 dollars per person and being a cheap airline pilot, I told the tour guide that was too expensive and I offered him $10.00 per person.  No problem, he took the offer and off we went on the 45 minute tour.  We enjoyed the tour because the guide would explain different areas, buildings, bridges and history of the city.  That was information we would not have known on our own.  After the tour, we walked around the local vendors booths and checked out their goods.  Didn’t buy anything.  We did go to the pharmacy store and bought some cold medicine before leaving the city.  We got back on a water taxi, went back to the Dream and had lunch in the newly discovered eating area.

Late afternoon the Internet Marketers gathered at deck # 10 aft by the Sunset Bar and Pool for a group picture.  There are 420 IM’ers on board and many of us did make it to the location for the pictures wearing our Group T-shirt.  The information we received was this was the largest group photo shoot of guests the Carnival ever had.  We rock.  After the photo shoot, I was able to spend a few minutes with Mike Filsaime and received some priceless information on advancing my business and taking it to the next level.  He was also gracious enough to take a picture with me and also introduced me to Bob, The Teacher, Jenkins who also allowed me to take a picture with him.  Bob Jenkins is another important figure in the Internet Marketing arena and he shared valuable information with me as well.

Following the photo shoot, Diane and I went to an appreciation function sponsored by Carnival Cruise for being a previous guest on one of their cruises.  We had appetizers and drinks while listening to a band and was invited to a meal immediately following the function.  We bypassed the dinner because it was NOW time to have dinner with the Internet Marketers group.  It goes without saying, the dinner was excellent and everyone had a great time.  After dinner, I took a little ME time and enjoyed an hour of comedy show sponsored by Carnival Cruise Lines.

Until tomorrowBob Jenkins (Bob the Teacher) & me (Roger Neumann)

Day Four of Cruise

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Day four of the cruise is here and we are in Isla Roatan, Honduras on Tuesday, 12 January 2010.  The docking today was somewhat strange in that the ship had to back into a slip area instead of docking straight ahead.  I have been on several ruises an this was the first time we had to put the ship in revere to dock.  Oh well, it worked.  Today’s weather is warm enough for short sleeve shirts; however, it is overcast with light rain and at times, heavy mist.  My wife, Diane, signed up for a Pirates, Birds and Monkeys of the Carribean and is hoping the clouds will disappear and the sun will shine so she won’t get wet taking pictures.  This is our first time in Isla Roatan and I would come back again if I could stay for several days.

While my wife was on her tour, I stayed behind on the ship.  During that time, I explored more of the ship and was able to find a section better than what we had been using for the food.  The layout of the food, drinks and silverware was much better than the one we were using.  In addition, I  found the deli section so if we just want a sandwich in place of a full meal, I NOW know where to go.  The best part of the search was when I found Michael Cheney eating in the same section I just discovered.

Our evening meal was again open seating and of course, the meal was excellent.  We sat at a round table that holds ten people and we sat with some of the nicest people on the ship.

This picture is me with Captain Lou who is the one the does all of the scheduling and organization to put this event together.  He is the person in charge of the cruise for the Internet Marketers.

Until tomorrowCptLou & me

Day Three of Cruise

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Day three of the cruise found us docked at Cozumel, Mexico.  The ship docked around 9:30 A.M. which gave everyone time to have breakfast before leaving the ship for their day of adventure.  There were many options for people to choose from all of the events listed.  All events were conducted except for one which was cancelled due to high winds of 30 knots.  Those winds were the same winds that caused the ship to roll last-night and today as we approached Cozumel.

My wife, Diane, and I did not take advantage of any of the planned tours; instead, we elected to walk around Cozumel and take pictures.  My wife is a professional photographer so she had a great time today in Cozumel.  When we got back to the ship, she viewed her pictures and was very pleased with her work.

Tonight we had a special panel session conducted by Mike Filsaime.  The panel consisted of five men and one woman.  The topic of the panel focused on the Maverick group and the good the group does for man kind.  The group is a small group of men and women who had bonded together and do extreme activities together.  One of the members is Mike Hill and he shared more information with me about the group.  DSC00338

The discussion ended with a message of helping people makes us feel better and with a feeling of gratification.

Dinner tonight was open seating and we sat at a table for four and should a good meal with a great couple from our home area.  Yes, you can and will meet the nicest people on the Internet Marketers Cruise.

Until tomorrow.

Go out and make it a $ucce$$ful day!
